November News

I wrote a longer than usual essay for this month’s newsletter, despite not really introducing any new products. I was going to say it’s a melancholy time of year, but I’m inclined to be melancholy no matter the season, so that’s not really an explanation. But maybe I’m feeling more contemplative now that I have two solid years of shopkeeping under my belt. And in many ways, I’ve felt every moment of it.

Anyways, here’s a link to the Szilveszter Mako interview that I mentioned in my essay. It’s definitely worth a read, especially if you do anything creative, but still worthwhile even if you don’t!

I’ll be making samples of the Olivia Blouse and Scout Bloomers so we have them in the store for people to see first hand. I do have ones that I made for myself for Halloween, but won’t be bringing my costume in for people to try on.

In other newness, I’ve launched a Snail Mail Club in case you want to receive a paper copy of our newsletter in the mail! I wish I had the budget just to send them out to anyone who wanted one, but I don’t. There are perks for signing up (including a surprise $25 store credit for a random subscriber each month!), so hopefully it makes the small fee worth it. Mostly I’m trying it out because the internet is making me sad.

And don’t forget to come by for a Garland Making Workshop during next week’s Art Walk! And we’ll be making felt ornaments at the end of the month! Handmade holidays, here we come!!
