These shorts are made of lightweight woven cotton that do not stretch. They are also sewn with cotton thread, which is biodegradable, but has no inherent stretch (unlike synthetic threads). Please check the measurements carefully to ensure a good fit - you'll want the max waist measurement to be able to pull up over your hips.
Any vintage materials used (grosgrain ribbon, rickrack trim, fabric) is deadstock and is between 30-50+ years old. It has been prewashed and checked for any major issues.
